

The Vigeland Park is one of Norway major attractions, with more than a million visitors every year. Lying just 10 minutes away from Oslo city centre, the park is a must-see-place for tourists and a favourite spot for Oslo citizens, who love to come here to relax, especially in summer. The park is a real permanent open air exhibitions, collecting more than 200 sculptures by the acclaimed Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland.The bronze and granite statues represent scene of ordinary life, in a sort of poem illustrating the life cycle, from birth to death. Among these statues the most representative are a 17 m obelisk , made up of 121 clasping figures, the big fountain and the wheel of life , representing 4 adults and 3 children running in circle.
